NEW Trails have just opened at Killaspugbrone and Knocknarea. The Queen Maeve Trail was officially opened on Sat 18th April while the Killaspugbrone loop was officially launched on 9th April. This fab new trail network means you can now walk from Strandhill village over past Killaspugbrone to Dorrins Strand before heading up Knocknarea. Shorter options are also available.

The South Sligo Walking Festival will take place over the bank holiday weekend from the 2nd - 4th May with a variety of walking packages to suit every need. Check out www.southsligowalkingfestival.com

 

Newsflash!! Following the tremendous success of last year’s event, the 2nd Sligo Camino trek will take place on Saturday July 4th 2015. Join in this 34km challenge from Dromahair to Coolaney taking in some of Sligo’s most alluring scenery. This year Sligo Camino Plus will also take place on Sunday July 5th for those die-hard walkers who wish to tackle the Western leg of the Camino from Lough Talt to Coolaney (a distance of 46km!).
