This walk follows the route of the Miners Way and Historical Trail along quiet country roads past the Black Lough and the White Lough. Take time to savour the stunning panorama from Highwood church.

The Route
Start from Highwood church, following the signs for the Miners Way and Historical Trail. Walk past the church and turn right, turn left at the bottom of the hill, the Black Lake is located on your left. The road veers left and the White Lake is located on the right. Follow the road to a t-junction, take a left turn and follow the road back to Highwood.
