This is a pleasant country walk located on the outskirts of the scenic village of Carney in north Sligo.

The Route
Starting in the centre of the village, the walk skirts the local soccer pitch, before meandering alongside a stream towards a footbridge, which will bring you to Oxfield GAA pitch. Staying on the main path, cross a minor road with care, continuing along the path, which takes in one of the original access roads for the Lissadell estate. Upon reaching the Slieve Mor road, turn left and continue along this public road until you return to Carney village.
